Stay away from salt in your diet. Keep your salt intake under 6g of salt per day, as high levels of salt intake have been linked to high blood pressure and to heart disease.
Stress is a killer. Excess stress can lead to stomach ulcers, weight gain, heart disease and more. Try to combat stress with yoga, meditation, spa treatments and even speaking to friends about your issues.
Caffeine can really cause a lot of damage, leading to anxiety, headaches and insomnia. Cut back on your caffeine consumption, and try having it only in the morning so that it doesn’t interrupt your sleep.
Finally, drink a lot more water and less alcohol. Doctors actually say that we need 2 liters of water a day! Alcohol should be avoided or minimized. It is terrible for the liver and causes aging of the skin and other issues.
