Unemployed Soon to Be Fully Responsible for Cobra Payments

Unless legislators  take measures to change the law, it appears that anyone who is laid off after May 31st, 2010, will no longer be eligible for government subsidies to help pay for their Cobra health care coverage. This will mean that people who lose their jobs as of June 1st, 2010 will have to pay the full amount for their health plans which until they were laid off was paid by their employer.
